Job Role - Part Time Dental Nurse
To work alongside the clinicians and the team to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of dental care to patients.
Job Summary
Experienced and Qualified GDC Registered Part-Time Dental Nurse Required for a Small Private Dental Practice in Exeter practicing in General & Cosmetic Dentistry; Oral Surgery & Dental Implants. It is a temporary position on a maternity cover basis with the possibility of progression to a permanent position.
Compliance checks will be carried out which will include, DBS, Hepatitis Immunisations, Indemnity, ID (Passports), GDC certificate & References.
Working hours: Wednesday 08.45 - 17.30 Friday 08.45 - 17.30
Required Qualifications & Experience

Qualification in Dental Nursing – NEBDN or NVQ 3

Valid Dental Nurse Registration with the General Dental Council

CQC knowledge
Key Responsibilities
This includes but is not limited to:
-
Providing chairside assistance in all clinical procedures alongside our Dentist/Clinical Dental Technician.

Preparing the surgery and instrument trays for procedures.
-
At the end of the day, ensure the surgery decontamination is adhered to in line with practice procedures and policies.

Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and cross infection control, according to the latest guidelines and following practice procedures and policies.

Ensure that all the relevant paperwork is completed promptly and accurately and that all patient records are updated and maintained, according to practice procedures.

Provide excellent proactive (non-clinical) customer care to all patients and clients.

Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Coordinating with the laboratory on timely dispatch and receipt of work.

Ensure a smooth running of the central decontamination room, completing audits, cleaning instruments according to the current HTM guidelines.

Ensuring the clinic is fully stocked and organized.
-
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness/tidiness – this may include cleaning around the practice

Keep CPD up to date.

Part-time hours: 16 per week £10-£12 an hour (depending on experience)
